Mountain worn, not cookie cutter

The name comes from the maidenhair fern — the delicate green that grows out of wet rock and shaded mountain slopes all over Western North Carolina. It's a fitting name for what we do: work with stone, slope, and water on ground that most flat-land crews get wrong. A retaining wall, a paver patio, a French drain — none of it lasts up here unless somebody reads the grade and the soil first. That's the work.

Why we lead with stonework and drainage

Plenty of outfits will mow your lawn. Far fewer can build a boulder wall that holds a 30% slope, or read whether your wet yard needs a curtain drain or just better grading. That harder, more durable work — retaining walls, hardscaping, drainage and grading — is where we put our focus, and where a mountain property needs the most help. We handle the full property from there: tree and storm cleanup, mulch, cleanups, lawn care, and design.

We won't put fake five-star reviews on this site, we won't claim a license number we don't hold, and we won't tell you we've been in business for fifteen years when we haven't. We're insured (general liability insured), we're local, and we'd rather earn your trust with a straight quote and a wall that stands than with a stock photo. If we're not the right crew for your job, we'll tell you that too.
